Test your brakes repeatedly
Press the brake pedal several times quickly to check their responsiveness.
Why is this method effective?
- If your vehicle is equipped with a hydraulic braking system , the pressure may be low. Pumping the pedal may partially restore braking capacity .
- If the pedal is completely soft and unresponsive, proceed to the next step.
