Tammy Slaton’s story began in the spotlight in 2020, in the TLC series “1000-Lb Sisters,” which followed the difficult lives of two sisters living with extreme obesity. At her heaviest, Tammy weighed over 330 kilos (around 730 pounds) and relied on a wheelchair. But her determination to change her life never wavered.
In 2023, after a challenging journey, she regained the use of her legs and freed herself from her wheelchair—despite a painful year marked by the tragic loss of her husband at just 40 years old. This tragedy only strengthened her resolve to take care of herself.
