At one point, he proposed $5,000 “DOGE dividends”—a plan to return part of the 20% savings identified by Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) back to taxpayers. However, no formal details have been released, and the idea has not advanced.
Meanwhile, California Rep. Ro Khanna suggested $2,000 payments for Americans earning under $100,000, arguing such relief could offset the costs of Trump’s tariffs.
